Events at Charney Manor

Programme of Events

Charney Manor hosts a programme of events throughout the year which seek to nourish the spirit through silence, deep listening and the invitation to explore issues and themes with both the heart and the mind. We believe there is something in our programme to interest a wide range of spiritual seekers, and we hope that both Friends and those interested in the Quaker way will stay with us and benefit from the calm and beauty for such spiritual refreshment.

Our programme of guided retreats is designed to reflect current interests and emerging concerns amongst British Quakers but we aim to be inclusive, meaning everyone is welcome at our retreats. The costs of events are given in the Events programme; a non-refundable deposit is required to secure a place. Bursaries of up to 50 per cent are also available (one bursary per person per year); you may apply for a bursary when you book. Unfortunately we are unable to offer bursaries for the Experiencing Shakespeare event.

The Shakespeare event will be held on the 22nd – 26th July 2024 with John Lampen. The play that will be watched and studied are The Merry wives of Windor and As you like it at RSC in Stratford apon Avon.
