Conference Rooms

Charney Manor offers a variety of meeting rooms and a range of facilities in a peaceful and inspiring setting.  It provides an attractive venue for conferences, training events and retreats.  For Meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences and significant events, we have two large beautiful and historic rooms.

The Solar

Up to 30 people

The Solar, one of the oldest parts of Charney Manor (13th Century), is located on the first floor of the Manor House.  Its remarkable roof, constructed from wooden beams, contributes to its unique atmosphere and sense of history. The quiet calm of the Solar invites visitors to slow down and reflect.  The Solar has a piano, wooden floors and a picturesque view of the historic St Peters Church and the Manors beautiful gardens.  The Solar can accomodate groups of up to 30 people.

The comfortable chairs can be arranged to suit the needs of any group, as can any tables, flip charts and audiovisual equipment.

The Chapel, part of the original Manor House, is adjacent to the Solar.  This beautiful and historic room can seat up to 8 people.

The Barn

Up to 45 people

The converted Barn with beams preserving the character of the original building is a light and versatile space located on the first floor in an adjacent building to the Manor House.  The Barn Conference room is accessible by lift and can accomodate groups of up to 45 people.  This space lends itself to a variety of different conference room settings such as board room, theatre, horseshoe or empty - whichever style arrangement best suits the needs of your group.

The Lower Barn can be used in conjunction with this conference room for refreshement breaks, especially if your group requires to be self contained, ie for silent retreats.  Chairs and tables, flipcharts and audiovisual equipment can be arranged accordingly.  Wireless internet connection is available throughout the manor buildings and the security code is available on request. Sweets and bottled water are also supplied throughout the conference rooms. Hearing loops are also available.

Small Meeting Rooms

Up to 10 people

A traditional Library complete with writing desk and grandfather clock can be found on the ground floor of the Manor opposite the sitting room.

It provides a space for a small group meetings / conferences of up to 10 Guests.

The Library has 10 chairs set in a circle  with options of flip charts, mobile screen and projector being on offer for your meeting.  There is a large table

In the room that can be placed in the centre of the room for a more formal meetings.

The library does benefit from original stone carved windows and stunning views over the well-kept gardens… there is always the option of moving your meeting outside on warm days to
