Conference Rooms at Charney Manor

Charney Manor offers a range of meeting rooms and facilities in a peaceful and inspiring setting, making it an ideal venue for conferences, training events, and retreats. Our Solar Room comfortably accommodates up to 30 delegates, while the Barn Room can seat up to 50, making them perfect for workshops, seminars, and larger gatherings. Both rooms retain their historic charm and character while providing the practical facilities needed for successful events, including natural light, flexible seating arrangements, and access to essential amenities.

For smaller meetings, one-to-one discussions, or breakout sessions, we also offer the Library, Lower Barn, and Sitting Room, providing intimate spaces that complement the larger conference rooms. Surrounded by tranquil gardens and a calm atmosphere, Charney Manor creates a setting that encourages focus, reflection, and productive collaboration, ensuring every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.

The Solar - Up to 30 people

The Solar, one of the oldest parts of Charney Manor dating back to the 13th century, is located on the first floor of the Manor House. Its remarkable roof, made from wooden beams, adds to its unique charm and sense of history. The tranquil atmosphere of the Solar encourages visitors to slow down and reflect. Featuring wooden floors, stone windows and a picturesque view of the historic St. Peter’s Church and the Manor’s beautiful gardens, the Solar is an inspiring space. It can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 30 people.

The room is flexible, with comfortable chairs and tables that can be arranged to suit the needs of any group. Flip charts and audiovisual equipment are also available for your convenience.

Adjacent to the Solar is the Chapel, a part of the original Manor House. This beautiful and historic space can seat up to 8 people, offering an intimate and peaceful setting for smaller gatherings.

The Barn - Up to 45 people

The Converted Barn, with its original beams preserving the building’s character, is a light and versatile space located on the first floor of a building adjacent to the Manor House. Accessible by lift, the Barn Conference Room can accommodate up to 45 people. Its flexible layout allows for various configurations, including boardroom, theatre, horseshoe, or an open layout ideal for yoga and meditation, depending on your group’s needs.

The Lower Barn can be used in conjunction with the conference room for refreshment breaks, particularly if your group requires a self-contained space, such as for silent retreats. Chairs, tables, flipcharts, and audiovisual equipment can be arranged to suit your specific requirements.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the Manor buildings, and complimentary sweets and bottled water are provided in the conference rooms. Additional amenities, such as Wi-Fi speakers, stereo, TV/DVD, and hearing loops, are also available upon request.

Small Meeting Rooms - Up to 10 people

The Library, located on the ground floor of the Manor opposite the sitting room, is a traditional space filled with a diverse range of books and offering a stunning view over the gardens. It’s the perfect setting for rest, relaxation, and contemplation.

The Library also serves as an ideal space for small group meetings or conferences, accommodating up to 10 guests. It features 10 chairs arranged in a circle, with the option of flip charts, a mobile screen, and a projector available for your meeting needs. For more formal meetings, the large table in the room can be placed in the center.

The Library benefits from original stone-carved windows, providing breathtaking views of the meticulously maintained gardens. On warmer days, you have the option to move your meeting outdoors to enjoy the beautiful weather and the tranquil atmosphere of Charney Manor’s grounds.
