The Gillett’s Cottage in Charney Bassett offers charming self-catering accommodation on the grounds of a 13th-century Manor House. This spacious retreat comfortably hosts up to 8 guests, ideal for small groups, families, or walkers. With sweeping views of the sheep paddock and surrounding grounds, it provides a peaceful, relaxing setting, just 20 minutes from Oxford, Wantage, and the Cotswolds.
The cottage features 5 bedrooms: 2 singles, 2 twins (which can be made into doubles with advance notice), and 1 downstairs twin. There’s a modern shower room, family bathroom, and downstairs WC. The spacious sitting room, large dining room, and well-equipped kitchen with hob, oven, washer/dryer, air fryer, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher offer ample space and convenience. A cozy coffee nook adds to the comfort.
The outdoor space at Gillett’s Cottage is perfect for relaxing and entertaining. To the rear, you’ll find a BBQ, a comfortable corner sofa, outdoor dining for up to 8 guests, and a picnic table—ideal for al fresco meals.
